Air purificators

Air and breathing

Breathing is a physiological process, it is the transfer of oxygen into the body and the elimination of carbon dioxide from the body. It is based on the process of diffusion that takes place in our lungs – the passage of gases from an area of higher to an area of lower concentration through a semi-permeable membrane.

We get oxygen from the air that surrounds us, but in addition to air, we also inhale many unwanted particles. A modern person spends more than half of their time indoors and, with moderate activity, inhales about 18 kilograms of air per day (which corresponds to 15,000 liters). The air in the room is therefore one of the key factors in the quality of life.

Can we influence its quality?

Air purificator

Air purification is the removal/cleaning of particles from the air. After purification, the air is free of particles such as dust, allergens, viruses, bacteria, smoke and other aerosols and much more suitable for breathing than it was before.

According to professional standards, purification is effective if the purifier changes the air in the room five times in one hour. This achieves adequate air cleanliness even in the case of aerosol generation in the room (people, equipment, materials, outside air).

Positive effects of purifiers:

Reducing the possibility of transmitting infectious diseases (viruses and bacteria are removed from the air)
Improving air cleanliness in the event of dust formation in the room (99.995% of particles larger than a micron are removed from the air)
Improving indoor air cleanliness in the event of polluted outdoor air (99.995% of particles larger than a micron are removed from the air)
Removing odors and bad smells (activated carbon absorbs odors, VOCs (volatile organic compounds, odors)
Reducing temperature and humidity gradients and the formation of wall mold (with controlled air circulation, the temperature and humidity of the air in the room are more homogeneous)
